Nicole Massoll, M.D.
Dr. Massoll received her M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and after training in General Surgery she completed her Pathology residency there as well. She went on to do her Cytology fellowship at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital. While there Dr. Massoll trained under Dr Ernie Mazzaferri performing thyroid ultrasonoghraphy and fine needle aspiration with immediate adequacy. Since then as Director of Cytopathology at the University of Florida, she has performed over 1000 thyroid ultrasounds and US guided thyroid fine needle aspirations. Dr. Massoll has trained the pathology and endocrinology fellows to perform immediate adequacy for all FNAs. She has taught thyroid cytology slide preparation and adequacy at the American Thyroid Association and The Endocrine Society annual meetings. She has published articles in Thyroid on thyroid FNA adequacy and diagnostic reporting to name a few. As Medical Director of FNApath, she trains Endocrinologists across the country to perform their own in office FNA adequacy and performs diagnostic interpretations on over 1000 thyroid FNAs per year.
